You know, im ******* sick of this board not replying to peoples work.Especially myself. I dont reply to others, because i dont see them responding to mine. This board needs to get there **** and gear, cause i won't to know if im writing good **** or **** all together. I may be alone and may not be, but frankly i dont give a **** . I see the new hostboard, pretty cool to show how many people's seen the work and how many has not replied to it. I dont care if anyone does reply to my **** or not, but to poets that are starting out it could mean a lot if you give them a little critique? Doesn't hurt, just takes some time off your hands, so quit being ******* lazy bastards and reply to some work assholes!!!! ( I know im calling myself an ******* too, but **** if it works you know?)

I'm sorry you feel this way Zeik.
I also feel that you could've asked, or at least requested it perdiod.
You didn't ask, you didn't request nicely, you didn't ask for critiques, you've just told us that we have to, and that it's our fault for not replying. That is not a good way to get more replies, but it IS a good way to get less.

Not that you can get much less, but this outburst will make people not want to reply at all, even if the work is great.

This was just not a smart post at all, not at all.
As you can see, all of your curse words, of which there were many, were blocked. If you want replies, ask nicely for more opinions.. if you still get none, make a post like this, pointing out nicely, that you would like some input.
Not ranting and raving about how you don't reply, cuz people don't reply to your poems, that's extremely childish.

I would have deleted this post, but I thought it serves as a wonderfull reminder, what NOT to do on this board, and how NOT to act.

I'm only a semi-regular here but here's my two cents:

I don't like to critique someone's writing because, really, who am I to tell you what you write is good or not? I may not like your poetry, you may not like my poetry. Ok. I think it's a situation sometimes of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". Because, as anyone who's spent plenty of time on Hostboard knows, an unkind word or two can turn into an ugly flaming mess.

You want to know if you're writing good stuff or not? Do YOU think you're writing good stuff? I've read the three poems you've posted and to be honest, they lose me. But that's me. What I think is good and what you think is good and what Hannibal thinks is good and Lunatic and anyone else is not always gonna be the same.

Write for yourself. That's all that matters.

Well, I can definatley see crazy's point about flaming and such. Hopefully most of us are beyond that. And writing for yourself is all well and good. I did it for years as a matter of fact. But feedback tends to ... make a work feel worth it. Justified, no matter What the feedback is. Personally I like replies to my poems as well, and am somewhat annoyed to check replies that have nothing to do with the piece. So I can also understand Zeik's frustration. But I agree with Hanny, that your post was not the way to accomplish it. No one jumped up and re-read all your work posted here, and posted a reply to every one of them. All we've done is reply to this post. If that makes you happy, congrats.
Otherwise, I'd say keep posting. Every once in a while everyone's bound to post something that generates a fury of replies and sub-posts. You've just got to be patient enough to discover what that is.

Alright, i hear you guys on this. Maybe it wasn't the best way to go about it. And quite honestly there Hanny, i could give two ***** about who replies and who doesn't. I dont care about what anyone thinks about my poetry, i like it and thats all that matters, just like you OTHER people said. But if someone would give me advice i would take heed to it. And you of ALL PEOPLE Hanny, i would think you would at least reply to some of it,and i also thought i knew you. Evidently i dont. Your the one that got me to come to this board and you moderate it, i thought you would at least be a friend and help me keep writing, wrong again. So whatever, do whatever you want with my post get rid of em big man. I dont care anymore.

I never said you should stop posting here, this is all your decision if you do.
I'd hate to see you go...
All I said was this was mearly not the way to go about getting people to reply to your peices, this was just a way to alienate yourself.
I replied to some of your things that I enjoyed, and even some that kinda confused me, but I replied. Lately though, I haven't been in a very "replyfull" mood, as is evident all across hostboard with my posts.
I'm sorry that you think just because I dont' reply to every poem we're not friends, or that you "don't know me" because of this. That was never my intention.
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><table border="0" width="90%" bgcolor="#333333" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0"><tr><td width="100%"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" bgcolor="#FF9900"><tr><td width="100%" bgcolor="#DDDDDD"><font size=2 face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">i could give two ***** about who replies and who doesn't</font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>
Then what was the reason for this topic again? Refresh my memory?

I hope you do keep writing though, whether or not you post it here is up to you. The door is open for you to post away.
As for getting rid of your past posts, they're your posts, not mine. I don't delete something unless it's absolutely necessary.

That said... it's all you from here out.
Posting here, up to you.
Getting rid of things, up to you.
Getting people to reply to your things, up to you.
I just moderate, and watch out for big flaming messes
